I’m Abigail - I’m excited to share more about myself

I first entered the birth world as a volunteer birth doula in Philadelphia in 2016. I quickly fell in love with encouraging and advocating for moms through such a transformative time. Over the years, I had heard many birth stories from friends and family that were marked by stress or trauma. Too often, women felt like birth was something happening to them, rather than an empowering experience. I sought God’s heart for birth, and His answer marked me. What I learned early on did not even come close to what He revealed was His invitation for the process: His presence and peace.

The desire to see moms empowered and supported - mentally, physically, and spiritually - is what led me to start Sparrow and Lily Doula Services. I chose this name because of the passages in Matthew 6 and Luke 12, where Jesus tells His followers that God gives so much care to the birds and the lilies - how much more, then, does He care for us? He cares so deeply about the little details of your heart, your dreams, your birth. It is my hope that you will get to experience His perfect peace throughout every part of your motherhood journey.

believe birth is sacred and deeply personal. As a DONA-certified birth doula, I offer gentle, holistic support rooted in my belief that God designed your body to give birth to your baby. I desire to help you step into labor and motherhood with confidence, instead of fear. I believe fear can turn natural intensity into suffering, but with comprehensive education, compassionate presence, and a nurturing space, you can move through birth with strength and faith. I teach you how to work with your body and baby throughout labor, honoring your vision for your own birth. Whether you’re hoping for an unmedicated home birth, a hospital delivery with pain relief, or something in between, I’m here to champion what matters most to you.

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you?
